Shambhu Sharne Padi Lyrics:
Shambhu sharane padi, magu ghadi re ghadi,
Kast kapo, daya kari darshan shiv aapo.
Tame bhakto na dukh harnara,
Shubh saunu sada karnara,
Hu to mandmati, tari akal gati,
Kast kapo, daya kari darshan shiv aapo.
Aange bhasm shmashan ni chodi,
Sange rakho sada bhut todi,
Bhale tilak kariyu, kanthe vish dhariyu,
Amrut aapo, daya kari darshan shiv aapo.
Neti neti jya ved bhane chey,
Maru chitdu tya java chahe chey,
Sara jagma chey tu, Vasu tara ma hu,
Shakti aapo, daya kari darshan shiv aapo.
Hu to ekal panthi pravshi,
Chata aatam kem udasi,
Thakyo mathi re mathi,
Karan jadtu nathi,
Samjan aapo, daya kari darshan shiv aapo.
Aapo drashti ma tej anokhu,
Sari shrushtine shivroop dekhu,
Mara manma vaso, haiye aavi haso,
Shanti aapo, daya kari darshan shiv aapo.
Bhola shankar bhav dukh kapo,
Nitya seva nu shubh dhan aapo,
Tada maan mada, gado garv sada,
Bhakti aapo, daya kari darshan shiv aapo.

The Essence of Shambhu Sharne Padi Lyrics
The “Shambhu Sharane Padi lyrics” express a deep prayer and surrender to Lord Shiva. In these lines, the devotee repeatedly seeks refuge at his feet. The opening lines show humility, asking Shiva to remove suffering and bless the devotee with his divine presence repeatedly. As the bhajan progresses, it praises Shiva as the one who takes away devotees’ pain and recognises him as someone who always does good, emphasising his kind nature as Bholenath. Devotees also acknowledge their own limited understanding, called “mandmati,” and recognise Shiva’s infinite and unknowable essence, showing complete reliance on his grace.
The Shambhu Sharane Padi lyrics also portray Lord Shiva’s grand form. His body is covered in ash, he holds poison in his throat, and he is linked to cremation grounds. This symbolises his detachment from the material world and his ability to turn negativity into positivity. The devotee seeks not just relief but “amrit,” representing a higher spiritual awakening.
Additionally, the reference to “Neti Neti” underscores that even the Vedas cannot completely describe Shiva. It reflects the devotee’s yearning to connect with this ultimate reality, as they seek strength, clarity, and understanding amid life’s confusion and loneliness.
As the prayer approaches its conclusion, it becomes more introspective. The devotee asks for divine insight to see all creation as Shiva, including themselves, and seeks inner peace and liberation from the ego. Ultimately, the bhajan ends with a heartfelt request for devotion, humility, and the ability to serve. It represents a complete journey from pain to surrender and from surrender to spiritual awakening.
